The Essential Qualities of Peace

My dreams are a world of peace. My world is driven by the common fundamental link in humanity. My purpose is to allow others to begin to question our ways and beliefs. The thing that is disturbing today the most is the lack of belief that anything better is possible. There is an underlining vision that there is no possibility for change.
I recently listened to a debate over a city budget and the issue of a zero percent tax freeze. I was astounded to hear the outrage of callers. The council had passed special interest programs the previous day and residents feared service cuts. The assumption automatically was service would be cut with funding. No one even brought up the possibility that perhaps the mayor may be able to make the city more efficient. Humans require challenge to excel. If funding is a problem you look for creative solutions to increase the level of service for less. Most people only ever go as far as you have to. So in truth this is an amazing opportunity to find solutions to current problems. Where I was shocked was not one person looked at it from that perspective. Not one person even mentioned that that only through challenge and adversity new ways are found and solutions created.
Great achievement always begins with the rebuttal of impossibility. It is found when the challenge is taken up. Only then does the need to succeed become a driving force to change. For instance I see a way to world peace. I know the steps. Would anyone listen? Would they care? Would they change?
I see a beautiful earth so full of natural beauty you could spend an eternity exploring it. I see the natural order of things in there connection. Recently I see a world driven by fear. We are scared of everything. I also see a coming change. A new worldview based on information. If you look at history there was only really one thing that creates power and control. It is information. If the masses believe the picture they are given anything becomes truth. Today I see more people listening to the elusive sense. The intuition is present in us all. It is the knowing who is on the phone when it rings. It is drowned out by the logical side of the brain telling you “that is just coincidence”. It gets written off and we forget about the little clue we just had to notice to allow belief to grow.
My beliefs are based on my experiences and the research into religion and ancient texts. I feel it important to mention that they are my beliefs alone and I provide them to allow you to better understand me. I also feel it is important for everyone to have an active spiritual life. No matter what your beliefs or culture they all center in love in the end. The active desire to understand and learn about your faith forces you to adhere or to at least see our negative actions or trends. All of the fundamental rules of belief are present in all traditions. They are simply love and respect everyone and strive to do good.
The idea to kill over an ideology is not present in the core of any pure religion. The great masters who have walked this planet never told us to kill. There messages have been consistent as well.
Today’s world and culture is moving back to its origin. At one time we came from one race, creed and culture. Today’s technology is moving us back to that very situation. Over time we have evolved and changed. We speak, look and act differently. We see these physical differences and separate. One this remains the same, we still all think the same way we have always thought. Our interior energy connection is the medium that psychic’s use to receive information. It is that very connection that is present in every living human being. This connection is present in animals as well. It is in animals that we have the greatest potential to make gains in humanity.
Monkeys at the zoo were being fed yams. One monkey dropped a yam in the water and learned inadvertently how to wash it. Over the course of a few weeks a few other monkeys had learned the trick. It took about a year and finally around 100 monkeys had learned to wash yams. Something amazing then happened. Monkeys around the world in zoos just seemed to understand this new process and began washing there yams. The amazing potential in this story is that a relatively small amount of monkeys compared to the world population learned the trick and it just went out over the rest through the energy.
My belief is that humans are the same way. We seem to exhibit a gang mentality so it is safe to assume that we act on this sense whether we know it or not. I have a ideology that I believe is necessary in our world today. I believe that if you help, feed and educate people with the money currently spent on weapons world peace is in reach. It would take time to create trust but it is an achievable task. Power and oppression only come from fear. If people are truly allowing the whole world to excel and heal unrest will end.
The best police force is a noble and fair community. World domination is impossible because I will never be a slave as long as I own my mind. Army’s secure populations and soldiers are people with minds of there own. For this reason I do not fear a new world order ruled by fascism. I look to the day when we move beyond the limited paradigm of material fears. The life of any human being is worth more than any material thing. Our current paradigm tells us if some are up some have to be down. That idea is simply not true.
There is more than enough for everyone on this planet. Education is where you begin. Our current method of dropping food creates more dependence and cripples local farms. To create a lasting positive effect one has to teach and assist in the movement toward an independent community. The way to positive independent people is through interdependence of the whole. Over time more of the world will become healthy and strong.
This idea and dream takes time and that is good. The time it takes will form trust and integrity. It will destroy all previous fears of oppression. Wars are fought for control of the masses. It is the people that are the power. The people fight for or against the state. We are the people we choose to fight. Not the leaders or the brass. The people execute the orders. The people choose to speak or remain silent. They choose to move or pause.
Tolerance is the first and fundamental key to solving any of the world’s problems. We are different that is a given but we are also very much the same. It is these very similarities that has brought us together in the past and will again in the future. The global markets seem to have no problem branching out. We all benefit from products from many different countries around the world. Many major companies have offices in many different countries and support local economies worldwide. These are the model I purpose. These companies have a goal. It is to make a profit. As a world wide body they rise to that challenge as one power.
We as human beings need to sign on to the attainment of world peace, make it the goal and begin the process. We need to speak up and to voice our opinions. The days of war are growing short. Nuclear fears need to be a memory. In the past mistakes and terrible events have been sustained by every major group. We as a planet need to rise above the past and come together. This is not such a hard dream. With the internet and global communications capability growing by the day there has never been a better platform to debate and learn. Tolerance of views and the larger picture must be the fabric of the network. Beliefs and traditions do not have to be lost. It is possible to create a society that accepts and welcomes diversity. Without diversity there would be no change.
People making real connections are where the network begins. Listening to the needs and best helping the situation. Cross borders or cross the street it begins with the desire. The best security in the world is a strong community that looks out for all its members. In today’s world we are faced with an immense amount of dividing issues that are use against the people to keep us divided. If you can work from the idea that every other human has the right to make there own decisions and as long as that does not infringe on another individuals rights we should leave it alone.
Religion is the area of society where we should find peace and protection. It should be the instrument of unification. Instead it has become another means of division. The problem here is based in ignorance and fear. Most individuals know nothing about the beliefs and traditions of other faiths. Ignorance breeds hate because you have no foundation to judge the things you hear. Hear the same thing enough it becomes fact. The conclusion you take is created with no knowledge. It is created on the assumption of fact. Religions all meet in their core. It is a connection to spirit and respect of self and others. It is the pure idea of love.
The advances in science now prove our connection. Advances in technology allow us to travel and communicate worldwide. Advances in industry have already united the world as a single body.
So I leave you with the question, why do we still allow the leaders to fight?
